I believe we are all very aware of how trying and inconvenient this year has been, so the thought of not having a Christmas program this year was not an option for us. With the hearts and talents we have in this church we knew we could come up with something that would be just as good if not better than seeing it/participating in person. When Amy first approached me about what God had put on her heart, I didn’t hesitate to say YES, I will do everything in my power to help bring this program alive, so with much prayer and direction from the Holy Spirit, we figured what better way than to have parents and kids pour out the truths of their hearts and project the goodness of God in such an unsure time. This program is real and raw and these are the real words from everyone that participated. We will rise up and God will get the glory! 2020 is almost over, but God’s not finished yet!

This year has been different than any other year we have ever experienced. So, it was only fitting that our Christmas program be set up in a different manner than we’ve ever tried before. One evening while seeking the Lord on what direction our play should go, I heard in my spirit “What if they cancel Christmas?” I immediately began to think of ways the Christmas Story could go out, even if we were shut down again. From that idea grow the direction of what would we do if we were forbidden from celebrating Christmas? Our prayer, is that this short film encourages you, enlightens you, and offers hope in a time that has been dark for so many individuals.
May the Lord richly bless you and yours this Christmas Season.
